Business Professionals of America

Advisors:  Cindy Durkee and Jeff Pike

Business Professionals of America, BPA for short, is a national career and technical student serving members pursuing careers in business and information technology occupations. BPA provides opportunities to develop leadership skills, grow personally and professionally, and compete utilizing career related competencies. Involvement in Business Professionals of America enhances social awareness, civic responsibility, and business communication skills.

You do not have to be enrolled in a Business course to participate on the team. You need a desire to learn and compete in one of 72 different categories from speech to business topics to interviews to computer modeling to subjects in the computer area!  To see the different competition listing click here:  http://www.mabpa.org/wsap

The state competition is held every March at the Sheraton Tara Hotel in Framingham—March 4-6, 2017.  As you can see in the picture:  we have done quite well (first place in the Rice Bowl Challenge two years running).  We have been to the BPA National Competition in Anaheim, California, and in Boston.  This year’s competition is in Orlando, Florida!!!

Officers are elected and the meetings are run by the president; the advisors are there to support you.

Meetings are held once a month, on the first Thursday of the month.  We will be holding a meeting for interested students on Thursday, September 22, in Room D-1 @ 2:30.
